Our Workforce Development Partnerships in Athens, GA
The IEA Team and SKI Instructors with 4 of the trainees on a project site in Athens, GA
The team at Infinite Energy Advisors is feeling incredibly proud of what was accomplished this month. In partnership with our sister organization, Solar Knowledge Institute, we had the honor of hosting and supporting a solar bootcamp in Athens, GA that created meaningful, hands-on opportunities for four young individuals ready to build better futures.
These students started by diving into solar theory in the classroom, where they asked thoughtful questions, explored real-world applications, and built the kind of confidence that comes from truly understanding how something works. From there, they took everything they learned into the field to work on two real solar projects right in their own community.
Our partnership with ALT made this possible. Because of ALT’s support, homeowners received solar and battery systems at no cost, while these students gained valuable workforce training without any financial burden on them or their families.
What stood out most was the determination each student expressed to pursue a future in solar. That kind of motivation is exactly what drives us at IEA. It’s not just about installing panels and batteries. It’s about creating pathways to opportunity, empowering communities with knowledge, and investing in the next generation of clean energy leaders.
We’ve seen what happens when people gain access to real, marketable skills. It changes everything. Students use these skills to uplift their families, create meaningful careers, give back to their communities, and build the kind of future they once only imagined.
To our SKI team, our partners at ALT, and the incredible students who worked hard and shined bright throughout this bootcamp, we are so proud to have walked alongside you in this journey.
IEA remains committed to building a future where clean energy and economic opportunity go hand in hand. This month in Athens was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
